Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making massive paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
As both boxers participated in the customary stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually happening.
